In an interview Pharrell says, the moment the song was released, it was not his belonging anymore. “Happy” now belonged to the world, having numerous clips with people from all around the world dancing, singing to the song and flying high in the air of happiness and carelessness. This indicates for a sky-high social mood worldwide, filled with joy and love.
